Visualize and analyze your invoice data with Power BI

Overview

Using the REST API Web Connector in Power BI, you can bring invoice data from Invoice-Parse into your dashboards for real-time insights.

Step-by-Step Power BI Integration

  1. Access your personal API token from your Invoice-Parse API dashboard.
  2. Open Power BI Desktop and click Home → Get Data → Blank Query.
  3. Open the Advanced Editor and paste the Power Query M Code provided in our integration docs or YouTube video.
  4. Replace #"Bearer Token" in the script with your actual API token, or use a Parameter to securely store it. Please generate HERE your API token.
  5. When prompted for authentication, choose Anonymous and confirm (since the token is passed via headers).
  6. Once the data loads, click Transform Data to review and expand the invoice fields and line items.
  7. Create your visualizations: track total invoice values, analyze vendors, monitor monthly trends, and much more.
